Education

As part of its product support and services, DataGen provides clients with educational information and summaries about critical health care legislation and regulations, updates on changes that affect reimbursement and health care operations, and ongoing two-way client communication through conference calls and meetings. Periodically, DataGen prepares summaries of both proposed and final rules developed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that are related to: Hospital Inpatient PPS, Outpatient PPS, Rehabilitation PPS, Psychiatric PPS, Home Health PPS, and Skilled Nursing PPS.

Medicare Hospital Revenue Forecaster®

Since 1998, hospitals nationwide have used the unique Medicare Hospital Revenue Forecaster®. This interactive planning tool assists hospitals in preparing their Medicare budgets by projecting hospital-specific annual payments for the next ten hospital fiscal years, based on Medicare rules in effect each year, national estimates of marketbasket increases, and hospital estimates of volume changes.
